Corn Bread (Frontier Pies)

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup + 3 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups milk
7/8 cup cornmeal
7/8 cup flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Use: 9"x13" pan

Mix together and bake at 360 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the center and if it comes out clean your corn bread is ready.

Drizzle with butter and honey.

~This is a recipe my sister in law got from a restaurant (Frontier Pies) in Montana. It's a bit of a sweeter corn bread.

9x13 Cake Pan (purchase at Sur La Table) This pan would work great for this recipe.

I am the president of Frontier Family Restaurants the owners of Frontier Pies franchise in Montana and Idaho. I want to know how or who did you get the recipe from for our corn bread?

The recipe was obtained by my sister-in-law from the now defunct Helena, Montana Frontier Pies. She commented to the server how much she liked the cornbread and asked if she could have the recipe, this is what she was given.

Does this recipe really call

Does this recipe really call for 2 TBS Baking Powder??? That seems like a lot, and I made it using that amount. It rose up the sides of the pan so high it overflowed, and they were only half full. Then the fell dramatically. I've already addressed my oven temp being slightly off when I conquered French macaroons, so I really don't think this is the problem. Please advise?
